Established in the United States in 1993, the A-T Children's Project is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate biomedical research projects, scientific conferences and a clinical center aimed at finding life-improving therapies and a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). One of our board members said something powerful to me recently, “Not everything that counts can be counted.” How do you count the joy that a kid with cancer experiences at Camp Little Red Door? Or the feeling of well-being a cancer patient gets from having a cab driver who values them? Or the relief that happens when they find someone who can help them?

In ways big and small we continue to make the most of life and the least of cancer for those whose journey is difficult. We can only track or count those experiences through our human interactions, a hand written thank-you note, a smile on the face of someone we helped. It all counts.

As you visit our website, I ask you to remember that every one of these metrics is accompanied by an emotion and that every interaction we track and report helps someone along the way. As you read our blog, learn about our programs and read our testimonials, you will see that we made an impact, in every way. Even if we can’t count it.

Want to volunteer?

Bubble-teers. Yep, we said bubble-teers. That’s what we’re calling the gracious, fun-loving individuals who might prefer to participate in this foamy insanity from the sidelines. If you’re interested in being a bubble-teer at one of our runs, please fill out the bubble-teer form on the Volunteer page to get things rolling. Thanks for your help, we’re excited to have you as part of the team!
