We began in 1979 with the mission to "To enhance the physical and educational development of children with physical, mental or emotional disabilities through a program of therapeutic horseback riding activities" We were one of the first programs of its kind in the United States and one of only a handful that do not charge the families or the children.

There are documented benefits for participating in therapeutic riding for those with Autism, cererbral palsy, muscular dystrophy, down syndrome, brain injuries and others.

The children are ride are referred to us through doctors, schools, rehab/therapy centers and word of mouth among parents among others.

Children come to us from Allegheny, Butler, Beaver and Westmoreland counties.

Established in the United States in 1993, the A-T Children's Project is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate biomedical research projects, scientific conferences and a clinical center aimed at finding life-improving therapies and a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). A-T is a rare, genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, cancer, and immune system problems.

Want to volunteer?

Bubble-teers. Yep, we said bubble-teers. That’s what we’re calling the gracious, fun-loving individuals who might prefer to participate in this foamy insanity from the sidelines. If you’re interested in being a bubble-teer at one of our runs, please fill out the bubble-teer form on the Volunteer page to get things rolling. Thanks for your help, we’re excited to have you as part of the team!
