Comfort Zone Camp helps grieving children discover their capacity to heal, grow and lead more fulfilling lives in a fun and safe environment. Founded in 1998, our free program was born out of the desire to provide a caring community and safe haven in which children who are grieving the loss of a parent, sibling or guardian are heard, understood and taught healthy ways to process their grief. They are able to meet kids who have been through similar experiences and because everyone at camp has had a loss and can relate on a level that few others can, lasting friendships are made.

The Miracle League of Richmond promotes community support and sponsorship to enrich the lives of our special needs population and their families through recreation, education, inclusion and socialization with their peers. The Miracle League facility removes all barriers and opens doors for many families whose children have never participated in an organized sport within an organized league. We provide safe recreational opportunities for children with disabilities and our Richmond sports complex includes a custom-designed field with a cushioned rubberized surface to help prevent injuries, wheelchair accessible dugouts, and a completely flat surface to eliminate any barriers to wheelchair-bound or visually impaired players. Consider donating to this worthy cause!

Want to volunteer?

Bubble-teers. Yep, we said bubble-teers. That’s what we’re calling the gracious, fun-loving individuals who might prefer to participate in this foamy insanity from the sidelines. If you’re interested in being a bubble-teer at one of our runs, please fill out the bubble-teer form on the Volunteer page to get things rolling. Thanks for your help, we’re excited to have you as part of the team!
